Reflection on the topic of my own artistic practice.

Education, the influence of social opinion and emotional sensitivity form a great demand for oneself as an artist, fetters. If you create, then only " masterpieces ". As a result, the bar is so high that it becomes toxic and provokes stagnation.

"33" is a self-portrait, which is divided into 9 equal size parts (of three squares in a row).

The drawing was scratched by an engraver on a smooth glass surface.

The process of creating a self-portrait requires a lot of physical effort, but the visible result is airy, rough, barely perceptible strokes.

All fragments of the auto- porter are mixed so that they literally bring it to an abstract form. Recognize who is depicted virtually impossible.

I put these fragments with an engraved image for some time in the Kiev river Lybed. Once a deep and historically important river, it is now in a deplorable state. The roughness on the surface of the glass will penetrate plankton, discharges and chemical reagents that are accumulated in the river water.

As a result of this interaction, the drawing takes on an original unique color.
